Firstly, here’s a recent review:
Why we created this book.
A couple of years ago, LightSpeed Spanish created a range of videos in Youtube on the Present and Imperfect Subjunctive Spanish. They were an instant hit! But why? Well, it’s true that any student of the Spanish language worth their salt knows that, at some point, they are going to have to face up to the Subjunctive. But what really made the range so popular, according to the repeated feedback received is that the theme of the series was making the Subjunctive easier. And so it was the success of the series that inspired LightSpeed Spanish to create the book you can see above. But wait, the Present and Imperfect Subjunctive Spanish made EASY? Really?
Perhaps the word should be, EASIER. Rather like climbing a steep hill, there are some routes that are easier than others. The trick is knowing the easiest. And it is this kind of short cut that LightSpeed Spanish has created in their latest book! Using a totally new system of what they call, ‘TRIGGERS?, they guide you in a step by step way through what has traditionally been a very tricky subject. To ensure learning has taken place, they have also built into the process a multitude of practical exercises along the way to reinforce the understanding. What they have aimed to offer their readers is the chance to study the subjunctive backwards. What they mean by that is that they don’t focus on ‘WHY’, something that most students are quick to ask. Rather, they concentrate on helping you with the HOW and WHEN you should use the present and imperfect Subjunctive Spanish. The Power of Three.
To ensure that the learning and understanding of the present and imperfect Subjunctive Spanish structures are firmly locked into place, the book uses the ‘Power of Three’ system. This is used widely and involves getting people to do the same thing three times. Three is a powerful number and by doing the same exercises three times, you are sure to capture the idea and retain it. There are more than 600 sentence that you are guided to create so that by the end of the book you will be quite the expert. This book was born out of the many years that Gordon and Cynthia of https://lightspeedspanish.co.uk/ have spent teaching students of all levels to improve their Spanish. They believe that they have created a novel and easy way to understand, learn and use the Spanish subjunctive with their new book: Demystifying the Spanish Subjunctive. (Feel the fear and subjunctive anyway.)” They hope that you enjoy using the book as much as they have had fun in making it for you. saludos desde España, Gordon y CynthiaLearn Spanish Resources

Hi Gordon,
Your Spanish lessons are the best I’ve seen. Idiomatic Soanish is so necessary when it comes to understanding the native speakers. I wanted to purchase your book ‘Demystifying the Subjunctive’ but can’t find it on Amazon for the Kindle. Do you plan to publish a digitised version?
Christ. Thanks for the lovely message. The book will be available on Kindle but it will take a couple of weeks. I’m on it!!!!!jejeje
